Product Description
Ace Tone (although this one only says Nihon Hammond Ltd on it for some reason) Rhythm Ace FR-8L for sale in full working order. Another fine product from the forerunner of Roland, when that company was just a twinkle in Kakehashi-san's eye.
Service work included power supply overhaul.
Will also be supplied set up for your voltage (these are switchable inside).
The forerunner of the Roland TR-77 to which it is very similar, this is another great-sounding Ace Tone drum machine. It nails those classic, "woody", full-bodied early analogue drum sounds.
Separate volume control for four different sounds and the ability to stack both the "Latin" rhythms and the "2-Beat/4-Beat" variations on top of the other rhythms give plenty of potential for jamming with this machine.
Ace Tone was an early brand from Ikutaro Kakehashi who went on to found the Roland Corporation. The build quality and attention to detail is generally great – these machines were built to last.
