RHYTHM ACE FR-1
Ace Tone Rhythm Ace FR-1 drum machine for sale serviced and in good condition and great working order.
We love our vintage beat boxes, but we've got a particular soft spot for this one from the late 60s as it is the model J.J. Cale used on his debut (and big office favourite) “Naturally” - good article here about early beatboxes, Sly Stone, and J.J. Cale from Wax Poetics if you're interested.
Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU with a valid VAT Number.
Ace Tone was started by Ikutaro Kakehashi who went on to found the Roland Corporation. The build quality and attention to detail is great – these machines were built to last. And the sounds always surprise us with a richness and real character.
Standard preset rhythms can be modified by simultaneously pressing combinations of buttons.
It’s a very vibey machine and a big favourite of ours - not dissimilar to the Maestro MRK-1.
See below for a quick demo with various pieces of Ace Tone gear including a Rhythm Ace we sold recently.
Condition is good – some scuffs and signs of wear to the tolex and the light grey part is slightly discoloured; there is also wear/damage to the handle.
Serviced and converted to 240v operation.
