First CS-15 we’ve had through. Perhaps this video demo of it with Tony’s initial reaction sums up our thoughts on this instrument:

CS Gas. Right now we have quite a Yamaha family gathering here at Soundgas: the CS-80 and CS-70 arrived from Paris last week, and the CS-60 we sold recently is having its Kenton midi kit fitted before heading out to Berlin. There’s also a 30 en route in the next week or so. The above are such great GAS-inducing beasts that they somewhat overshadow their lesser-numbered siblings. The CS-15 you see and hear here (both oscillators are being triggered by a simple arpeggio) is certainly no slouch. I was quickly inspired to roll up my sleeves and then lost a good hour marvelling at just how big this modestly-proportioned synth can sound. It’s in near mint condition and comes in the original Yamaha flight case. GAS-inducing indeed.

  • 100v Japanese model – it will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
  • A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
  • We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number – please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.
