PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Quite possibly the best vintage Triangle era Muff clone being made today. This pedal sets the bar against which other muff clones (and frankly most vintage ones) will be judged.

B Stock item – £15 off! Unused except for box being opened for photos or a quick demo in the office. (Note photos are stock photos – this pedal is mint and as new.)

[ NOTE: We may have a few original Muffroom Clouds left. Check our other listings, but if you don’t see one then get in touch. ]

Premium components and the in-depth knowledge of its creator Major Adrian Thorpe combine to make a superb piece of kit, nailing all the elements of that early Big Muff sound with the welcome added control of separate treble and bass pots. It’s impossible to get a bad sound out of this pedal – we’ve been having great fun with it on keys using our Rhodes Fifty Four – scroll down for a demo from out Instagram feed.

We’ll add more information soon, but it’s not just our opinion (and that of its maker, the legendary Major Adrian Thorpe – see below): you should also check out the Thorpy FX Muffroom Cloud review on Gilmourish.com.

Note: £15 is off VAT inclusive price.

This is the new version of the “Muffroom Cloud” – identical in every way except the name which Thorpy had to change; the producers of that other Muff you may have heard of were not entirely happy…

From ThorpyFX:

“I was asked to create the Fallout Cloud by a number of vintage pedal enthusiasts I know. They were after a Triangle era style pedal that would work with a variety of guitars (Humbucker and singlecoil’s including P90’s) and amps and be bombproof so it could be gigged. The brief was simple, make a triangle era Fuzz that could beat their original 1971 Triangle fuzz pedals when placed head to head.

The brief was simple, the task was not, however after many prototypes and a bit of lateral thinking the Fallout Cloud was born. This pedal has the ability to beat any four transistor fuzz you have heard (including the best vintage units). By adjusting the perfectly voiced EQ you can achieve fuzz tones from silky smooth through to doom laden whilst maintain the ability to cut through.

Check out the video below if you’d like to hear it in action.

Internally the pedal is immaculately built using premium 1% metalfilm resistors, Wima and Panasonic capacitors, and Neutrik jacks. These are the crème de la crème of the electronics world and when coupled with a robust gold plated PCB and dust sealed potentiometers the recipe is as good as it can possibly be.”
