Uses the same principle as units like the legendary (and even rarer) Bode frequency shifter. Ostensibly for “Howl Reduction” but capable of some very interesting effects. Essentially, unlike a pitch shifter, a frequency shifter does not preserve the harmonic relationships in the input signal. In practice this means the output quickly starts to deviate from what is going in and extra tones are added which then interact and interfere with the source producing new harmonics and drones. As you can perhaps imagine this is what we like about these units, and why we’ve had one in the studio for years…
Serviced and working well.
Mono input and output via 1/4″ jacks on the rear.
Has some scuffs and other signs of use. See photos for more information.
220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies. Please ask if you need advice on what to use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers.
