PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The 35-watt, 2×12 Supro Big Star amp was one of many models built between 1935 and 1968 by Valco.
The Supro Big Star S6541 TR amp was built in 1964. A 35-watt 2×12 combo amp with two 12-inch Jensen speakers, the Big Star was one of many models built between 1935 and 1968 by Valco and features tremolo and reverb – hence the TR designation. It has the preamp on the top chassis and the power section on the bottom of the amp along with the reverb tank.
Just back from a service with our amp tech. Working well and sounding very nice indeed.
The condition is good overall for its age, but with some signs of wear including some rips and stains on the grille cloth and a couple of stains on the stop.
It’s a USA 120v mains unit so will require a step-down transformer for UK/EU use. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made transformer if required.
