The RE-301 is a great piece of kit: the multi-head echo combinations, Accutronics powered spring reverb, Roland chorus and the Sound On Sound feature all add up to a classic piece of studio gear. A fine example of this iconic machine; Brian Setzer’s favourite tape echo.

Choose your voltage – 100v Japanese machine that will be set up for either 240 or 120v operation as required. This will usually only delay shipping by two or three days.

CONDITION: Excellent condition – they are definitely not common looking like this. Only minor signs of age or use to the face, with the exception of one area of wear at the top right corner. Case is very clean with minimal wear around the edges or sides. Internal surfaces are clean with a just few marks on the chromed areas. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

REPLACEMENT TAPES: We could (and indeed we have begun to) write a lot about our journeys in tape and the misinformation and poor quality tapes that seem to fill the internet. But for now you can buy tried and tested replacement Roland tape loops from us (they are supplied by Echofix). These are the only tapes we recommend for use in our machines. We may also have a very limited supply of sealed original NOS RT1-L tapes – see our store or get in touch.

There are currently no operational issues with this machine, but please be aware that these units require looking after and that regular use and maintenance are key to keeping this in good working order.

Some crackle is always possible from pots/switches when not used for a while – this can be cleared with use.
