PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A superb stereo mixer with built in spring reverb, serviced and ready for action. Overdrive the inputs (including a phono stage on two of the channels); has an internal Roland/Accutronics spring and an external effect send, and not one but two great EQs: lots of character AND it looks great next to your Roland RE-501…

Note that the internal amp is not functional on this unit – this does not affect the operation of any other features or its use as a studio tool.

Click on the photos to zoom in and see the controls and the selection of sockets on the rear in detail; we’ve had several different versions of these 70s/80s Roland mixers come through but this one with stereo is superb and not a model we see very often.

In excellent condition. It has one or two dings to the “wood” end panels and minor signs of use, but overall it is looking good. The pots and sliders are also good; it’s possible that some crackle may develop over time, especially when unused – this will usually clear with use.

Came to us with a mod – stereo sockets on the rear that are labelled “Main In” and “Pre Out”. These are currently untested but don’t affect the operation of the unit.

  • It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
  • A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
  • We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number – please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.

You can see another of these mixers in action in this demo, although the overdrive here is coming from the superb Hawk HR-45 on top of the tape echo (with thanks to Ben and Pete from Elephant Disco for coming to the office and putting a load of the gear through some serious workouts):
