Musitronics Mu-Tron Bi-Phase

Serviced, calibrated and in full working order – sounds superb. Very good condition; has a custom switch.

The custom switch came with it. It has switches to turn each of the phasers off and on (like the standard double foot switch), plus it has a bypass switch and a pot to control the wet/dry mix (this control is not great to be honest but doesn’t affect the unit adversely so we left it).

Also has a mod on the rear with additional in and out to each phaser on RCA/phone sockets. These do not affect the normal operation of the unit.

120v unit, can have a new transformer fitted to convert it to 240v if required – the cost of this is £60 including VAT.

CONDITION: Very good for one of these. Has some scratches, scrapes and dings to the case but nothing serious and it looks great. Click on the photos to zoom in and see more shots.

We love Bi-Phases (it’s in our top three phasers for sure) and we’re not alone: not only are they a staple effect of many dub reggae producers (Lee Perry most notably), but they’re widely-used with guitars/synths/keys etc in a wide variety of genres. A truly legendary effect.
