Superb Korg Mono/Poly MP-4 for sale in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working order.

In very good condition for its age; faceplate has no major scratches or blemishes, just the usual minor scuffs/scratches and smudges consistent with a 35 year old synth.

The keys are undamaged; the ‘wooden’ casing is in excellent order – though one small corner has been knocked and re-glued.

It’s just been serviced and recalibrated by James Walker at Synth Repair Services – including a thorough strip-down and rebuild – so is working flawlessly. It sounds stunning – these are powerful and flexible synths with great sound-design capabilities. Definitely my favourite Korg of this era.

It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.

A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.

We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

There are no known faults with this synth – in use, wheels, switches and pots move smoothly and noiselessly. (Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used – even during shipping – this can usually be easily rectified either by use or with a bit of switch-cleaning spray).
