*CLEARANCE ITEM*
This is a clearance item (we have too many springs!). It is working but has not been serviced and is supplied “as is” with no warranty. You should assume it will need a clean of pots and sockets and possibly other work to bring it up to full functioning.
The Hawk HR-15 “Echo Unit” is a very simple piece of gear, in theory just for adding reverb to vocals from on or two mics. Two quarter inch input sockets on the front and one for output on the back is all you get, plus a control for the amount of reverb. The sound quality is good, especially for the size of the unit and we like this one with just a little bit of reverb dialled in; however, as with all these units (for us anyway) the real action is when you abuse and overdrive them, putting things like drum machines through the mic inputs. Great crunchy distortion if you can get the input signal hot enough.
We’ve got into these vintage Japanese machines – read all about them in our Hawk/Mirano tape echo and spring reverb blog post.
In excellent cosmetic condition with only minor signs of wear or age. The box is also very clean. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

100v Japanese model. For customers on 220/240v supplies we will supply a high quality step-down transformer free of charge with your purchase - let us know if this is not required. On North American mains (115/120v supplies) this unit will run without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers - please ask if you have any questions about powering this unit.
