Formanta Polivoks

In excellent working order after a service from a technician experienced with these vintage Russian instruments. This is a great-sounding synth with a unique character.

Important note: this is a clearance item at a reduced price. It’s been worked on but since then we’ve not had time to use it (or sell it!) so it may be that it needs some minor work to get the best out of it. It is however serviced and functional.

European buyers have the standard 14 days right of return with this item, however there is no further warranty.

We’ve had one of these on our hit list for some time and were excited when we finally managed to get one here. After just a short test it definitely lives up to its reputation as a well designed analogue synth with a sound all of its own.

This Formanta Polivoks is for sale in very good cosmetic condition with only minor scuffs and scrapes to the unit. Some of the white markings are worn but nothing too major (you’ll be checking the ‘map’ of what does what until you’re familiar with it anyway. This unit comes with the original flight case and data sheet (also in Russian). See photos for more information about the condition of this unit.

Perestroika. First foray into the Polivoks – now for sale on the site serviced and in perfect working order. Once we’d got over the hilarity of the Google Translate ap’s rendering of some controls (one came up as ‘Communist Party’), we really started to enjoy the brutalist nature of this synth (if not the tacky/cheap keyboard). Special Binson Echorec 2 adds a little ambience… More will follow.
