PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Wild, unique, and truly superb effect. Can be very difficult to work on but they are worth the considerable effort, time and tech’s brain cells. As one of our customers said, it really is more like adding another instrument to your set up than just another effect.

NOTE: This is a pre-order listing. Photos are of another unit we had through. We have a unit in final testing after a complete overhaul. It will be shipping by the middle of April, if not earlier.

CONDITION: This unit is not yet back from the tech, however photos will be sent to the buyer before shipping. Condition is good with normal wear and signs of age.

FUNCTIONING: Overhauled and in full working order. These machines require a serious amount of work to bring them back up to this state, not to mention the many, many hours of tech time that we’ve invested in to understand the way they were built and are meant to function. Even when we find “working” units, they may be making some great noises but are unlikely to be running as they should be; some have been worked on in the past and unpicking what “damage” has been done is also very laborious. This unit is covered by our normal 3 month warranty, and after that we will continue to provide paid-for service support.

For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number – please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.

Switchable voltage. Will be set up for your mains supply before shipping.

======

We’re totally hooked on these Eventide Clock Works boxes – both this one and the H949. In fact we may well also have a H949 Harmonizer available currently – if you don’t see one on the site please in touch to reserve the next one available.

Combining pitch change with delay and feedback, when it was released in the mid-70s it was the first commercially available digital effect. Zappa, Bowie, AC/DC and a slew of other artists made use of it. The game-changing quality of what Eventide did is evident from the fact that the sound still in demand enough for Universal Audio to develop a plug in. It’s the Bowie/Visconti snare sound – for us that’s enough right there…

If you want a good, concise run-down of what it does then the H910 page on Eventide’s site is a good place to start.
