A remarkable find by our favourite US gear-hounds and Ampex addicts. This mint collection of three different Ampex machines is offered for sale in their original condition.
Restoration could be an option, but the seller has said that they won't have time to restore these machines for quite a while and considering the condition and collectability of them being a "set", they thought it made sense to sell them all together completely as they are, original.
Information from the seller:
This set came from a conference room but apparently the business never touched them after the installation. They sat in a machine room dust free and temperature controlled. Set comprises:
These are complete machines and totally original. The heads are in amazing shape and look to be near NOS or actually unused. Look at the amount of dust on the filters to the cabinets! You can't see a speck of dirt on the capstan fan blades either.
These truly are incredible. Original cabinets barely have any scratches.

- Ampex 350-2 stereo 1/4" machine
- Ampex 351-3 three track 1/2" machine
