AMPEG B15-N PORTAFLEX
Brand: Ampeg
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
Offered for sale is this Ampeg B15-N Portaflex valve (tube) amp from c1962 in fair cosmetic condition and superb working order (please see detailed photos). This amp wins no prizes for its looks - definitely not one for a collector: the speaker cab has had a rudimentary recovering in black vinyl, the carry handle is broken, the speaker is a later 15” Mackenzie, and the mains transformer has been swapped out so it runs natively at 240v - no step-down transformer needed.
However, looks aren’t everything: it sounds superb and has been earning its keep for the past few years in the studio of Mike Crossey.
This amp has been used on many recordings including:

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”

“Imagine the perfect eBay.... with everything you never knew you wanted… and you can rest assured that your vintage and rare wobbly sound device will turn up on time and in one piece and possibly in even better condition that when it left the workshop. Soundgas - literally amazing."
