A fine example of the first incarnation of the Minimoog Model D that celebrated its 50th birthday this year. For rarity, synth history and the early Mini sound it doesn't get any better than this: a stunning tactile instrument.

Sympathetically serviced but awaiting final calibration and tests with our in-house tech James Walker. This synth will ship within three to four weeks of purchase and be supplied with our standard 3 month warranty.
R.A. Mini Moog Model D with serial number 1046, made in Trumansburg N.Y. Operating instructions Minimoog Model D (01 / 1971). Inc. blank warranty registration card & warranty sheet with terms.
The synth has signs of use as you’d expect from a 50 year old instrument. The wooden panel below the keyboard has some scratches and is missing a small chip at the right corner. The wooden insert on the bender panel has been shortened. Some screws have been replaced and are not the original ones. Overall it looks very good indeed.
It was serviced extensively by the previous owner and a full report is included in the sale. It sounds amazing and plays very well – a truly wonderful instrument to play.
The original rear panel had been drilled for a later oscillator board so a new one has been manufactured (original included). Fitted with a 1973 oscillator board (serial 4619).
Some knobs on the front panel were missing inlays and some were broken around the shaft. They have been replaced with original Minimoog ones. The old ones are included in the sale.
The synth has mods: all 3 oscillators can be pulse width modulated when the waveform pot is totally clockwise. The switch in the controller section selects the source of the pwm – either volume envelope or the added pot. Oscillator modulation has been modified: original upper switch routes osc 3 to osc 1 – added switch below osc modulation switch routes osc 3 to 2. No modulation of osc 3 with it’s own output signal when keyboard tracking off. Sync: switch is osc bank section syncs osc 2 to 1. Added switches in left hand controller section to switch decay and glide on/off. Extra circuit added to calibrate bender range but not very useful due to mechanical travel of bender wheel: bender set to +/- a 5th. Additional CV/gate control inputs on the rear panel.

In remarkable cosmetic condition with only very minor signs of age and wear to the face. The knobs are clean with pointer lines carved in to most of the chrome caps. The case is superb with some scuffs and scratches around the edges and corners. Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information on condition.
117/120v model. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
