Vox Tone Bender fuzz pedal dating from around 1966 (from early serial no. and input cap positioning under circuit board).
Replaced jacks (Switchcraft, including correct power switching jack) and battery snap – which is pretty usual for pedals this old – and one electrolytic cap. Original base plate and rubber feet. Germanium transistors Mullard OC76 and NTE102 (mod or later replacement?). Circuit is quiet, pots scratch-free, controls effective, stomp foot switch positive action.
Works well as an input boost for valve amps and its well known aggressive but smooth fuzz sustain. This pedal is in great working order & excellent cosmetic condition for a pedal dating from the mid 60s.
This pedal is in perfect working order – no crackly pots or noisy switch issues.
Fitted with a Duracell Procell battery and ready to play.
