The Roland Jupiter-8 synthesizer is a classic icon in the world of vintage analogue synthesizers and is revered for its lush, full-bodied sound and powerful programming capabilities. It made a distinctive mark on the music of the early 1980s and it remains relevant with today's musicians and music producers.
Originally released in 1981, Roland's professional eight voice polysynth had twin oscillators per voice and an extensive range of filter and modulation options, making it a versatile choice for creating everything from deep, warm basslines to shimmering, ethereal pads and bold lead sounds. It's as distinctive sonically as it is visually - truly stunning - it is one of the most desirable vintage polysynths for good reason!
With its instantly recognisable design and unmistakable analog warmth, the Jupiter-8 continues to captivate musicians, producers, and synth collectors. Known for its reliability and rich tonal character, the Jupiter-8 has been used by legendary artists across genres, and continues to make its mark on pop, rock, electronic, and synthwave music.
Demand for vintage synthesizers is growing as the number of high quality examples decreases. We understand how to overhaul these synths and our chief synth tech, James Walker, knows them inside out. The Jupiter-8 remains highly sought after, praised for its unparalleled sound quality and dynamic performance, perfect for both studio recordings and live performances.
