The first Soundgas Recording, Instruments & Studio Equipment Auction takes place on Wednesday 26th July at 16.00 BST / 11.00 EST.

OVER 200 LOTS

Viewing and bidding is now open and the auction comprises over 200 lots including these classic vintage synths & drum machines: Oberheim Four Voice, Yamaha CS80, Sequential Prophet 5 Rev 2, Roland SH-5 and an Elka Drummer One.

 

In addition there are some highly sought after effects units including Publison Infernal Machine IM90, Ludwig Phase II Guitar Synth, and Cooper Time Cube.

THE DAVID ‘DEX’ WRIGHT COLLECTION

In addition, this sale includes the first part of the extensive studio collection of David ‘Dex’ Wright which comprises many classic synths, outboard, modular and DIY pieces. Read more about Dex in the September auction update.

The next auction is on September 27th and will include the second part of the Dex Wright collection, notably a large collection of Eurorack modules, classic synths, samplers and effects.

 

Coming later in 2023 is an auction of artist-owned instruments, gear and memorabilia. Confirmed lots include a Garrard 401 owned by John Lennon which was part of his Ascot Sound Studio at Tittenhurst Park, an ex-Genesis Schulte Compact Phasing A, Marshall Time Modulator from Giorgio Moroder’s Musicland Studio (used on Queen’s Another One Bites The Dust), Gary Moore’s Roland RE-501 Chorus Echo, Sylvain Sylvain’s Univox Superfuzz and many more to be confirmed... If you have something you wish to have considered for this or any of the auctions, please make contact via the Soundgas Auctions site.
