It's not often we find an SRE-555 in this shape - most have been heavily-gigged or had serious studio use - this one is truly exceptional and is in stunning cosmetic condition with barely any marks or signs of age.

The Roland SRE-555 is the rackmount version of the RE-501 Chorus Echo which was the ultimate evolution of Roland's Space Echo series, combining analogue tape echo, spring reverb, and chorus in a studio-oriented format. Introduced in 1982, it was designed for professional environments, with balanced XLR and unbalanced jack I/O, individual head outputs, and improved internal shielding and circuitry for lower noise and greater reliability compared to earlier Space Echo models.

The tape echo section features a four-head configuration three selectable playback heads plus a dedicated Sound On Sound head. These have independent level controls plus Repeat Rate, Intensity, and Echo Volume parameters. The chorus is derived from the Boss CE-2, delivering warm classic Roland chorus. The onboard spring reverb can be used on its own or blended with the echo and chorus for classic multi-effect textures.
