Our family of EQPs, which includes our faithfully re-created EQP-A, and the EQP-A Mastering Edition, now adds the EQP-2A Stereo Tube EQ.
The EQP-2A is a Stereo only unit and we still recommend the EQP-A for mono applications and matched pairs of EQP-As for multi mono use
Pulse Techniques released the EQP-1 in the mid-1950s, with some financial backing from MGM. It was originally intended as a mono “program equalizer”, since stereo playback in recording, broadcast, etc. hadn’t yet become the predominant format. Technology moved forward, but the EQP and it’s variants were so beloved that it remained a single channel processor until phased out in 1981. In practical use, the EQP served beautifully inserted over individual sources, imparting it’s unique tube-tone even when no EQ was applied, but two of them strapped across the stereo bus, or as part of the mastering chain, offered a radiant tone that made the EQP equally as desirable in those applications.
Now, in its original battle-ship grey glory, AudioScape has created the stereo EQP-2A. Absolutely faithful to the original in its component compliment…x2! You get all that incredible mojo and box-tone intrinsic to the EQP family in a format that makes it a breeze to process both channels with one set of controls, ensuring true stereo operation.
Highly requested since we released our flagship EQP-A Equalizer back in 2019, we are happy to finally make this stereo version a reality. If you love the EQP-A, but always wished there was a stereo solution, AudioScape’s EQP-2A is your wish come true.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EQP-2A IS DEEPER THAT THE EQP-A. THE EQP-2A IS 13.25” (34cm) DEEP.

IS THIS AN UPGRADE OR BETTER THAN A EQP-A?
NO! This is literally an EQP-A in stereo form. Aside from some minor cosmetic differences, it is the same exact circuit and tubes, etc (we get products right when we release them the first time). Additionally, there are some that may prefer the separate dual mono controls on the EQP-A as it provides more individual control. The EQP-2A is truly for those who have limited rack space and would like a simple stereo equalizer in a 3U format.
