The Audio Merge CF67B is a variable passive high- and low-pass filter for music studios, inspired by the Altec 9067B. This exceptional filter is designed to create unique sound effects, and unlike the original model, it features DSP validation to preserve the classic Altec vintage filter sound signature. Additionally, it introduces unique controls like BELL and MODE, which enhance flexibility by allowing precise sound shaping and filtering throughout various stages of music production.

This variable stepped filter enables instant selective band restriction across a broad range of transmitted sound. It features independent controls for both HIGH and LOW frequency units, each offering eleven positions, including an “OFF” setting. As all passive devices, noise floor and SNR levels depend on the source device. In addition, as there are no active components (only inductors, capacitors and resistors) no power supply is needed.

The original 9067B and 255A were intended for 600Ω systems since they were designed to offer maximum power transfer at the output, with = (impedance matching), where refers to the source impedance and ZL to the load impedance.
