ARP Odyssey 2800 Mk1
Brand: ARP
Sorry it's gone. We may have another in stock or on the way. Please enquire below (or check our weekly Gear Update for incoming rarities).
Superb example of an original white-face Arp Odyssey in excellent working order. Serviced and calibrated by James Walker; these old synths require a great deal of specialist TLC to get them up to scratch. This one plays very well and sounds stunning.
Now reissued by Korg, this is a chance to buy an iconic original in excellent order. Effectively a hard-wired compact version of the monster Arp 2800, the Odyssey is revered for its signature sweeps, leads and bass sounds - like an albino time machine, it transports you back to the golden age of analogue synthesis.
Condition is excellent with only a few scratches and scuffs to the case, most of which are on the back of the unit. Click on the photos to zoom in and see more detail.
This one's had a very cool modification - you can switch between the (original) duophonic mode, to monophonic, plus it has CV/Gate/Ext inputs which are tested and working.
It has had an extensive service with new bushings installed, key contacts and sliders/switches cleaned. The synth has been re-calibrated and is sounding superb.
- It is a 110v model.
- A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
- We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
For sales in UK/EU the price will include VAT. VAT-free sales are possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number - please get in touch if you wish to buy this way.

“I’ve bought a number of items from Soundgas recently, and have been really impressed with their service. It takes the stress out of buying vintage gear to know it’s been properly (and faithfully) serviced or restored. Their after-sales service has also been exemplary. Highly recommended.”
