This is one of our favourite vintage reverb/echo units and a permanent staple of our studio sound.
Full Soundgas service by Max now complete, including replacement of all tantalum capacitors, and all out of tolerance or ageing components (caps/resistors), full power supply overhaul, new IEC socket fitted. This should now be good for the next decade or so.
This had been described to us as 'pro-serviced': a handful of caps had indeed been changed, but most of the power supply caps had been left in and most remaining original caps were out of tolerance; the ageing Tantalums were left in which are a ticking time bomb; the IEC socket worn and potentially unsafe. It required a full day to bring it up to our standard. As Max says: "do it once, do it right."
