Description

This stunning E serial numbered Fender Japan Tele is a peach.

Produced between 1984-87 when Fender Japan were routinely making better Fenders than the US factory could manage. This has had a run through and set up by our tech, Ryan, and it sounds/plays beautifully. Unplugged it rings, resonates and sustains well acoustically and is the sort of guitar you just don’t want to put down. In fact we had a job retrieving in from the stand next to Ryan’s bench after he’d finished it, and Tony tells us he’ll not be over keen to hand it over once it sells – he’s fairly sure it’s an all round better guitar than his beloved/battered ’76 Tele.

 

Condition

In honest natural relic’d condition with some dings to the finish, most notably on the top left edge of the body. The neck is worn across the bottom of the fretboard and the head has been used as a cigarette holder in the past so some of the serial is no longer legible (there is no residual smell of smoke or stickiness – the guitar feels very clean). Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information on condition but it looks/feels good and plays very well.
