PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Offered for sale is this rare British-made Elpico valve (tube) amp in good condition and excellent working order (see photos below for details).
It’s just been given a full overhaul/service and sounds truly wonderful – if it had a Marshall or Vox badge it’d be worth a small fortune.It has the full complement of Mullard valves: 2 x EL84, 3 x ECC83 1 x EZ81 – all tested and working. The output transformer had failed and our valve tech didn’t consider it worth rewinding – it now sports a new Fender OT and is the better for it.
Elpico amps were used by Paul McCartney and Dave Davies in the Beatles’ and Kinks’ early days.
It is a UK 240v model and will require a step-up transformer for use in Canada and USA. The UK plug will be removed before shipping to the EU/Australia unless otherwise requested.
