Soundgas Sounds Royalty-Free Sample License
Effective upon purchase or download
When you purchase, download or use a Soundgas Sounds sample pack (the “Pack”), you agree to the terms of this license.
These Packs are created and distributed by Soundgas Tech Ltd, trading as Soundgas Sounds (“Soundgas”, “we”, “us”).
The purchaser or user of the Pack is referred to as the “Licensee” or “you.”
1. What You Are Allowed To Do
When you buy a Soundgas Sounds Pack you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the included audio files (the “Samples”) in your own music and productions.
You may use the Samples royalty-free within:
• original music compositions
• independent music releases
• streaming releases (Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp etc.)
• DJ sets, remixes and live performances
• YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other social media content
• film, television, games and other media productions
• client work and commissioned productions
You are free to release and monetise music created using the Samples.
No royalties are owed to Soundgas Sounds for normal use.
All rights not expressly granted remain reserved by Soundgas.
2. What You Are Not Allowed To Do
You may not:
• resell, share or redistribute the Samples as standalone files
• upload the Samples to file sharing services or public libraries
• include the Samples in another sample pack, sound library or preset collection
• create derivative sample libraries from the Samples
• make the Samples available in a way that allows others to extract them
• claim authorship or ownership of the Samples themselves
The Samples must always be used as part of a larger musical or audio-visual work.
3. AI and Machine Learning Restriction
The Samples may not be used to train, develop or improve any:
• artificial intelligence system
• machine learning model
• generative audio system
• dataset used for AI training
This includes uploading the Samples to any platform used for training generative models.
Written permission from Soundgas is required for any such use.
4. NFT and Blockchain Restriction
The Samples may not be sold, licensed or distributed as part of:
• NFTs
• blockchain-based audio assets
• tokenised audio libraries
• any system where the Samples themselves are the primary asset being sold
You may of course release music containing the Samples through normal music distribution platforms.
5. Major Commercial Productions
This license covers most music releases and commercial work.
However, if the Samples form a major or recognisable element in:
• large commercial advertising campaigns
• major label releases
• major film, television or game productions
you may be required to obtain an extended commercial license.
Soundgas is usually happy to work with producers in these situations.

6. Content ID and Rights Management Systems
You may not register the Samples themselves in any copyright management or automated claiming system including but not limited to:
• YouTube Content ID
• Facebook / Instagram Rights Manager
• TikTok Rights Management
• Audible Magic or similar systems
Registering the Samples in such systems may interfere with other licensed users and constitutes a breach of this license.
If Soundgas receives a claim resulting from such registration, you agree to promptly remove the claim and assist in resolving the issue.
7. Competitions and Promotions
Some Soundgas Sounds Packs may include entry into promotional prize draws or competitions.
Purchase of a Pack is primarily for access to the included audio Samples. Any promotional prize draw is offered as an additional promotion and does not form part of the license granted for the Samples.
All competitions are subject to separate Soundgas promotional terms and conditions where applicable.
8. Credits
Credits are not required, but always appreciated.
Where the Samples form a recognisable element in a release, a credit such as the following is welcome:
“Contains sounds from Soundgas Sounds.”
9. Ownership
All Samples remain the exclusive intellectual property of Soundgas Tech Ltd.
Purchasing a Pack grants you a license to use the Samples, not ownership of them.
10. Brand and Trademark Use
The names Soundgas and Soundgas Sounds, along with associated trademarks and branding, may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or origin of a product without written permission.
Licensees may not market or distribute works in a way that falsely implies that their project, sample pack or sound library is created by or affiliated with Soundgas.
11. Responsible and Lawful Use
The Samples may not be used in any project that:
• violates applicable laws
• promotes violence, hate speech, harassment or discrimination
• infringes the rights of others
Soundgas reserves the right to revoke the license where the Samples are used in a manner that could reasonably harm the Soundgas brand or its customers.
12. Termination
This license automatically terminates if you breach its terms.
If this occurs:
• all rights granted to you immediately cease
• continued use of the Samples may constitute copyright infringement
Soundgas reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies where necessary.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Samples are provided “as-is.”
Soundgas shall not be liable for:
• lost profits
• indirect or consequential damages
• third-party claims arising from your use of the Samples
14. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
It applies globally including the United Kingdom, United States and the rest of the world.
