A great example of the much improved later version of the FM classic. Works well with the DT-7 Programmer. Full working order and 3 month warranty.
Offered for sale on behalf of an experienced US tech who has done the work on the unit themselves.
Yamaha DX7II Centennial Edition for sale. Super rare – there is no firm information but it is believed that they only made 100 of these.
Fully serviced, power supply rebuilt and battery replaced. Factory patches uploaded, but if the buyer wished it can be supplied with a “greatest hits patch bank” – lots of vintage synth sounds that the tech has compiled.
Produced in 1987, it has 16 voices and 76 keys on this (not 61 like the usual DX7), and yes, those keys glow in the dark. The body of the synth is silver and the buttons etc are gold. It’s fair to say that something like this will always split the crowd, but someone out there has a set up that will fit this perfectly, and it’s undoubtedly a highly collectible talking point.
Want to unlock the full potential of this synth? These later versions also have the processing power to play very well with the Dtronics DT-7 Programmer (which is a brilliant unit and one which has resulted in Tony finally getting to grips with a DX and seeing why Brian Eno says its his favourite synth).
