Description

Superb Yamaha CS-40M for sale in full working order. It has had a thorough service with a CS expert and has a clean bill of health – he advises the new owner to remember to replace memory batteries regularly!

Words from vintagesynth.com: The CS-40M is a duophonic (2-voice) analog synthesizer that was introduced in 1979. Although Yamaha had already conquered polyphony with their legendary 8-voice CS-80, the CS-40m offered a more affordable approach to something other than a mono-synth. It has a semi-compact 44 note (3 1/2 octave) keyboard, 36 knobs, 12 sliders and over a dozen buttons for easy hands-on performance and editing. There are also 20 patches of memory which can be off-loaded to cassette tape.

Condition

Excellent overall condition with some small dings and scuffs to the face. The end cheeks are very clean with some wear showing along the bottom. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

Voltage Information

100v Japanese model. For customers on 220/240v supplies we will supply a high quality step-down transformer free of charge with your purchase - let us know if this is not required. On North American mains (115/120v supplies) this unit will run without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers - please ask if you have any questions about powering this unit.
