These rare units were amongst the earliest pedals made by the Roland Corporation in Japan in the mid seventies.
It’s a great-sounding pedal – thick fuzzed-up swirly phasing effects – the speed ramps up or down between the fast and slow settings (using the footswitch on the right) just like a Leslie speaker. Pure Larry Graham, very Hendrix. Famously-used by the Isley Brothers on ‘Summer Breeze’.
Lots of different tonal options – this is a great pedal.
Just been serviced and calibrated. Sounds huge, thick and chunky – one of the best pedals ever made…
Scruffy – some damage to knobs, one replaced footswitch, but working perfectly. (see detailed photos).
It runs on 2 9v batteries (supplied).
