Market Electronics Echoplex EP-2 (Maestro)

Particularly tasty example of one of our favourite tape delays – a valve EP2. Fully serviced by Dr. Huw our echo specialist and sounding superb.

Condition is excellent – pretty exceptional for one of these for sure. Tolex has a few scuffs and dings but is really good for the age. Metal surfaces inside have some minor scratches and very low level oxidation but are similarly clean.

Complete with original foot switch. 

Just back from spending some quality time with our experienced tape echo tech and now the sound of this machine is as good as it looks. Cartridge has been replaced with a new Fulltone ETC-1 cart so it’s good to go.

The sound of a well-restored EP-2 is quite something: I sold my EP-3 and Fulltone TTE when I found a good EP-2 (though in fairness I wasn’t gigging – the Fulltone is probably the better bet for a gigging musician).

• A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
• We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required. 

Please note that when run in countries with mains supply at 50Hz (like the UK/EU) as opposed to the 60Hz in North America, there is some hum from the motor – this is a physical hum rather than audio and does not affect the operation of the machine.
