Maplin 5600S

Maplin 5600S Stereo Synthesizer for sale.

These were produced as kits from 1979, but they were based on an earlier ETI Synthesizers design (which Maplin bought from the creators). Essentially you have a unique, powerful analogue synth with pin matrix patching and a digitally controlled keyboard.

These are extremely hard to find in any condition. As kit-built synths the construction quality can vary wildly, however we’ve inspected this inside and out and it’s a very well made example. The case is untreated mdf and could be painted to improve the looks of the unit, but the panel is superb and the build inside is clean.

This is a commission sale item. We’ve tested it and certainly all major functions are working well. We’ve not found any issues, however not every single function combination has been tested. Accordingly we don’t offer an extended warranty on this, however we of course guarantee it will arrive as described. It sounds immense.
