Korg SDD-3000 for sale in very good cosmetic condition and excellent working order.

It has a few very minor scuffs and scratches, but is in really good order for a unit that’s around 30 years old and has had three knobs/caps replaced (photos to follow). It sounds great but please bear in mind this is an early digital unit so may not be as clean-sounding as modern units (which is of course one of the reasons why it’s so good).

Used by Daniel Lanois and The Edge, not only for the delays, but because of the great-sounding pre-amp section – which is so highly-regarded that boutique clones are now being produced.

These units are showing their age and reliability can be an issue – this one’s been checked over and had several decaying jack sockets replaced. They don’t come up for sale very often and are highly sought-after – easy to see why: it’s a very versatile unit, great crunchy delays, flanging, that pre-amp sound – we’ve been having fun linking two units together for some amazing tape phase/flanging simulations (at the time of writing we have two for sale, the second is slightly scruffier than this one).

There are no known operational faults with this unit.

(Please note: it is always possible with vintage equipment that some crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used – even during shipping – this can usually be easily rectified either by use or judicious application of suitable switch-cleaning spray).

It is a UK 240v unit – buyers from USA/Canada and countries with a 110v mains supply will require a step-up transformer. For overseas countries with 240v power, the UK plug will be removed prior to shipping unlesss otherwise requested.
