Grampian Ambiophonic Unit Type 666 for sale.
A spring reverb built for broadcast use – primarily, if not exclusively, by the BBC. Some of them made their way into the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Not to be confused with the Type 636 used by Pete Townshend and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry – this is a much cleaner-sounding unit. See our Grampian Reverb page for further info and we also have the Type 666 brochure and schematic.
Serviced by our techs who know Grampians extremely well. We have made XLR tails that use the original 5-pin socket on the rear. Earthed with a UK or European plug as required.
The face has some wear and oxidation and the corners a little bent. See photos for more information.
220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies. Please ask if you need advice on what to use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers.
For sales in UK this item is on the margin scheme for second hand goods.
