The clocking control goes deep dark and dirty or high and shiny. Glitches/crashes can occur, but switching off and on again resets it.

There is no battery compartment - it's been sacrificed for the bends - and the internal speakers can be a little buzzy, but you'll record from the minijack output. There's a toggle switch to kill the speakers.

Very, very highly recommended. There are only three machines like this in existence, so you'll have something unique.

The ST-50 was the flagship of the Suiko range, offering a wider sound palette and more performance features than other models. Its distinctive tones make it charming, inspiring, and highly playable - perfect for experimental musicians and sound designers.

Produced in small numbers and rarely seen outside Japan, this vintage mini synth runs on batteries or a 9V centre negative Boss type power supply (Japanese 100v supply included).

As heard on Hainbach’s YouTube channel and featured on the Soundgas Instagram, the Suiko ST-50 delivers unique and expressive sounds not found in modern instruments.

View the Suiko ST-50 manual here.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0555/7796/8739/files/Suiko_ST-50_301041_Circuitbent__7_1.png?v=1792673735
