Offered for sale is this British-made Watkins Clubman vintage guitar amp in reasonable cosmetic condition and superb working order (see photos below).
No valves here, just dirty transistors – these are great amps to abuse and push into distortion: it’s 1976 all over again.
Has just had an extensive service/rebuild and is working perfectly.
Why go to all the trouble for an old transistor practice amp? Because it’s a lot of fun and very useful in the studio. Don’t be fooled by its timid looks – push it hard and mic it up and hear it growl.
