A mystery amp that we picked up some time ago. All working but it clearly sustained shipping damage and speaker needs refixing in place – see the photos (so you need a woodworker rather than an electronics expert).
Sounds good – we’d probably keep it if we had time to deal with the shipping damage.
Mysterious… we don’t know what model this is. Most likely Univox/Shin-ei/Companion but it seems to have lost whatever badge it once had; we can’t find any info (the Roland stickers are a red herring!). The controls are most similar to a Univox U150R but with different panel layout.
Solid state amp driving a 10″ speaker. Beyond that we don’t have information on the precise spec!
Working and safe. No warranty on auction items.
Shipping charged at our standard rates – please ask if you need info.
Apart from the damage (inside the amp) where the speaker has come away from the panel this is in good condition. Usual minor signs of age and some perhaps slightly distracting Roland stickers that could be removed. See photos for more information.
100v Japanese model - it will run on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
This auction item will have 20% VAT added to the final price for UK buyers. Buyers elsewhere may incur VAT or other local taxes on import.
We can't stop here, this is bat country! Our next auction (November 22nd) features some head-turning, show-stopping synths, however we also wanted to put the spotlight...
