Description

Selling because we just don’t have time to get to fixing this. After a quick test:

  1. It all seems to work apart from the pitch bend, although it’s hard to be sure as controls are so dirty.
  2. It’s a total beast! Truly. If no one really wants this then it’s going to the studio!

Powers up and is electrically safe. 240v unit.

Keyboard feels OK and all controls move as they should.

With clean up and service this should work well (with the possible exception of the pitch bend which is not the easiest thing to fix on these).

Manufactured by Kawai these are not well known but they are great little monosynths. Can be modified with the same sub oscillator mod as a Jen SX1000 which ought to make it pretty monstrous (seek online and you will find the info).

Condition

Scuffs and wear across the case and end panels. One key has obvious surface damage. One knob is missing. We’ve given it a quick clean but more can be done. See photos for more information.

Voltage Information

220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies. Please ask if you need advice on what to use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers.
