PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Early 60s Selmer combo amp, serviced and sounding great; good condition for its age.

Important note: this is a clearance item at a reduced price. It’s been worked on but since then we’ve not had time to use it (or sell it!) so it may be that it needs some minor work to get the best out of it. It is however serviced and functional.

European buyers have the standard 14 days right of return with this item, however there is no further warranty.

These are associated with the Beatles who used them early in their career. They kick out a great-sounding 25W and definitely look the part.

Selmer Selector-Tone Advert

Loft find – had been dry-stored for many years. Serviced with various minor components replaced as needed. The goal here was an amp that functions well and sounds great. The speaker is a later replacement (the original would’ve been a 15″ (probably Goodmans). The rectifier should be a GZ-34 Mullard (the equivalent JJ is not be up to the task). The tech who serviced it has fitted a 5U4 which does the job well. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

For sale serviced and sounding great. In fair cosmetic condition for its age. It has scuffs and scrapes to the case and the cover is also coming off in places, mainly towards the bottom. The amp has had black paint spattered on it at some point; this has mostly been cleaned off the face-plate which is very clean The handle is original and denotes that this is an early version (later ones had solid handles); the brass vent is missing from the top.
