Legendary 60s fuzz pedal that Analogman based his AstroTone Fuzz on.
Introduced in 1967 by Astro as the Astrotone, it was used by Tommy Bolin, Leslie West, and Gene Cornish of The Rascals. Renamed the Sam Ash Fuzzz Boxx in 1968, and sporting its iconic red wedge-shaped enclosure, it was one of the first American fuzzes to employ a tone control. Increasingly-hard to find in good order, this one – bought from the original American owner – is in great shape and sounds fantastic – a real treat for vintage fuzz afficionados.
Serviced and working well.
Case has scuffs and dings as you’d expect but it’s built like a tank and overall in excellent order
