Yellow, 1970s Ross Stereo Delay RS80 for sale.
240v version. Serviced and PAT -tested.
An interesting pedal. Our tech who investigated it had this to say about it:
“Worth resurrecting, I think. Three stages/chips mean fairly decent delay times. It does have two quirks – its odd stereo output (it’s not really stereo, it has two blend controls on separate switchable outputs), and it has some clever filtering. This uses pulse width modulation to filer the output of the delay chips more and more as the delay time is increased. I have set this for maximum brightness (there is a trimmer) but it’s still pretty dark.”
The three original BBD chips are missing and it has been restored with a modification using a daughter board carrying MN3207 chisps. This works well and the pedal sounds great (with the note that it is, as mentioned above, that it is dark and moody).
Built like a tank – case has scuffs and general signs of age but it just laughs at such things. See photos for more information.
220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies. Please ask if you need advice on what to use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers.
