Roland VX-55 Mixer with Spring Reverb

Roland 6 channel spring reverb mixer for sale in excellent condition, serviced and working perfectly. Shares the same spring tank as the RE-201 Space Echo. We love the sound and the EQ is very useable – a great studio tool for summing and adding character/texture when overdriven.

These 70s Roland mixers sound great, especially when you overdrive the inputs – can really add punch to DAW beats and synths and have a superb built-in spring reverb (equivalent to the RE-201 spring). We’ve been getting lots of positive feedback from customers using them to add texture and colour to drum machines, synths etc. Check the stock list (link above) for more models.

Output is via a single, mono 1/4″ jack at the rear. Also has an effect send and return which can be assigned to any of the channels in place of the internal spring reverb. Note that, unlike some of our previous VX-55s, this one does not have the phono and aux option on the first two channels – instead all six channels are identical.

CONDITION: Excellent; only minor signs of age including some scuffing to the tolex across the edges. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

Serviced and working well. Note that the amp section has not been tested with speakers attached. The pots and switches have been cleaned are currently fine, though it’s possible that some crackle may develop over time, especially when unused – this will usually clear with use.

VOLTAGE:

• 120v unit (100v originally but switched to 120v operation)

• A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We can supply a 100va unit which will work for this mixer (you can also buy with a euro plug from that listing). Contact us if you can’t find it on our site.

• We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers.
