ROLAND TR-909

Astonishing Roland TR-909 for sale in very near mint cosmetic condition and perfect working order.

This 909 looks like it’s barely been used – the main face is almost completely unmarked – as can be seen from the 29 detailed photos above and below, it’s in as close to new condition as you could wish to find. It is a 30 year old machine, so there are some very minor scuffs, scratches and marks to the corners, edges and sides of the unit: these are barely visible and don’t detract from the overall impression that this is a time-warp museum piece. It is a joy to program and tweak: instant techno/house gratification.

It’s just been serviced by James Walker at Synth Repair Services – he’s cleaned the pots, recapped the power supply and installed the v4 EPROM OS for tighter MIDI performance. He couldn’t believe the condition – it even has the original Roland AA batteries in the battery compartment (no leaks, still with plenty of charge). The only minor flaw is that the internal white plastic battery holder is cracked, but still fully-operational.

It comes with the original manual which is a bit dog-eared, but complete.

It is a UK 240v model so a step-up transformer will be required for USA/Canada etc.
