The ultimate incarnation of Roland’s RE tape echo series for sale serviced, sounding superb and covered by our one year warranty.
We’re tape and disc echo specialists with many years’ experience working with and restoring these machines. Our BBC-trained engineer brings our tape delays up to (or better than) factory spec and our testing ensures machines that have superb reliability and – most important – that they sound incredible. Guaranteed to give reliable service and sound superb.
- We’ve supplied Roland and Boss with Space Echoes for exhibitions and shows.
- Dan and Mick of That Pedal Show chose one of our RE-201s for their own studio collection.
- The BBC hired six of our RE-201s for the Proms’ television performance of Daphne Oram’s ‘Still Point’ featuring turntablist Shiva Fesharaki at the Royal Albert Hall.
- We’ve serviced and supplied machines for many top artists and bands including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys and Sunn O))).
Description
Roland Space and Chorus Echoes are amazing machines – and this is their ultimate development in tape echoes – quieter than the others – but with the multi-head echo combinations, spring reverb, superb Roland chorus and Sound On Sound. It is a Chorus Echo RE-501 in a rack case – we don’t see them very often and they are always quick to be snapped up.
NOTE: This machine is working, but awaiting a full service. It will ship within 15 working days of purchase.
It will be supplied freshly serviced and soak-tested and it won’t go out until it meets our standards. This will include a full service with our tape echo specialist with various new parts as required; including new tape. Set up so it will go into self-oscillation. Ready to give reliable service.
There are currently no operational issues with this machine, but please be aware that these units require looking after and that regular use and maintenance are key to keeping this in good working order.
Condition
In very good cosmetic condition, the face is clean with some scuffs and scrapes. The rack ears are a little scruffy but the damaged paintwork has been re-painted black and now presents well. Internally this unit is very clean with minimal oxidation, there is no internal photo of this unit as it is currently awaiting a full clean and service from our engineers. Voltage Information
The voltage of this unit will be set up to your requirements with a new transformer fitted - either 120v or 240v. This means that the unit will ship within 10 days of purchase (please ask if you need it sooner and we will do our best!).
