PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

We’re tape and disc echo specialists and always have a good selection of vintage echo machines.

Check out our tape echo page for more serviced Roland Echo, valve and solid state Copicat, and Binson units.

Roland RE-101 Space Echo for sale in excellent working order, very good cosmetic condition and sounding great.

Simpler than the 201/301/501 machines, this has three replay heads, switchable between single or repeat echoes, and of course varispeed for accurate tempo-matching. Self-oscillation and dubtastic effects are easily-coaxed from this machine.

It has just been given a thorough overhaul and service by our tape echo tech.

It is in superb working order and sounds fantastic: calibrated to Roland factory spec and fitted with a new tape.

In good cosmetic condition; the face plate, heads and internal surfaces are clean apart from a few marks and one tiny dent to the face plate – it’s increasingly difficult to find them in this condition. There is some slight rust to some of the jack sockets. The case has just a few scuffs and marks to the black tolex (see photos for details). Please note that the instructions on the inside of the lid are in Japanese.

It’s a Japanese unit that’s been set to 120v for use in USA/Canada without a transformer. A step-down transformer can be used in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made transformer if required.

We can supply replacement tapes for Roland (and other) echo units – see our other listings or get in touch. We have a very limited supply of sealed original NOS RT1-L tapes.

Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) – buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU with a valid VAT Number.
Guaranteed to give reliable service.

Heads in excellent condition showing low wear.

There are no crackly pots or noisy switch issues, though some crackle may develop when it’s not been used for a while – this can usually be rectified by repeated turns of the pot.

There are currently no operational issues with this machine, but please be aware that these units require looking after and that regular use and maintenance are key to keeping this in good working order.
