Uncommon, early Roland analogue BBD chorus. Most definitely not “digital”, despite having it in the name!

Sounds great – very “sea sick” and wobbly at the max setting.

Roland DC-50 Chorus for sale. Serviced, fully functional and supplied with our standard warranty.

Note: this item is working well but will be serviced prior to shipping. It will ship within 10 working days of purchase.

This 1970s Roland chorus box obviously shares some DNA with the Boss CE-1, however they are not that similar in terms of the circuit – for example the Boss uses MN3002 chips and this uses MN3001. It’s a pretty simple beast – you can’t vary the speed of the chorus or hall echo (short delay) so it’s really just a case of plugging in and dialling in the intensity of effect required. See below for a useful comparison video between this and the chorus in an RE-301.

Condition

In excellent cosmetic condition, the face is very clean with only minor signs of age. The tolex is very clean with minimal wear. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

Voltage Information

100v Japanese model - it will run on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
