Uncommon, early Roland analogue BBD chorus. Most definitely not “digital”… Excellent condition, serviced and ready to ship.

Sounds great – very “sea sick” and wobbly at the max setting.

Description

Roland DC-50 Chorus for sale. Serviced including power supply recap. Fully functional and supplied with our standard warranty.

The second one we’ve had recently but don’t be deceived – these are definitely not common!

This 1970s Roland chorus box obviously shares some DNA with the Boss CE-1, however they are not that similar in terms of the circuit – for example the Boss uses MN3002 chips and this uses MN3001. It’s a pretty simple beast – you can’t vary the speed of the chorus or hall echo (short delay) so it’s really just a case of plugging in and dialling in the intensity of effect required. See below for a useful comparison video between this and the chorus in an RE-301.

Condition

In superb cosmetic condition with minimal wear to the face. The knobs have some wear. Please see photos or get in touch if you require more information on condition.

Voltage Information

100v Japanese model - it will run on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

Tax

For sales in UK the price will include 20% VAT. Buyers elsewhere may incur VAT or other local taxes on import.
