PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Lovely 1974 Minimoog with original oscillator board. Full Soundgas service/overhaul by James Walker with Kenton Midi fitted.

Description

Serial: 3842

Excellent example of a 1974 Minimoog with original oscillator board, for sale serviced/overhauled and playing very well indeed. For us, earlier models with original oscillators represent the pinnacle of the Model Ds sonically-speaking (and also from an aesthetic perspective: before they moved on to cheaper wooden cases). They are endlessly inspiring and a joy to play and behold.

Fully-overhauled including full keyboard rebuild for smooth playability. Power supply recapped, pots cleaned and all boards gone through. Buffer board added – quite stable for a synth of this era (after warming up, but maybe not a touring instrument!) and with the unmistakable sound of the finest Moogs. Kenton MIDI fitted by us.

Condition

In excellent cosmetic condition with only very minor signs of age to the face. Most of the knobs are scuffed but present well. The case is clean with some wear around the edges, most notable is a chip taken out above the controllers section. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.

Voltage Information

220/240v unit. A step-up transformer will be required for use on 110/120v supplies. Please ask if you need advice on what to use. We do not recommend using cheap, generic Chinese mains transformers.
