Description

Maxon / Ibanez AD-230 analogue delay / flanger for sale.

Very uncommon, these were built to bring BBD tech into the professional studio with transformer balanced input and output, and deploying a whopping 15 MN3004 chips to get a very smooth sound and low noise floor – see the photo of the board.

The sound is quite different to what you may be used to with old analogue delays – much cleaner and more polished. This makes it ideal for some applications – and the flanger in particular benefits from the wonderful depth and clarity to the sound – but maybe not if what you actually want is a darker more gritty BBD effect 🙂

Voltage Information

100v Japanese model - it will run on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use. A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU. We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.
