Designed by Gary Hurst for Marshall, this is an almost identical circuit to his Mk2 Tone Bender, but with a little more bottom end – this one may well have been manufactured by the Macaris (Sola Sound) for Marshall).
It’s nearly all original, save for a couple of replaced caps, and sports three Mullard OC75 germanium transistors. It sounds great.
Jimi Hendrix used a Marshall Supa Fuzz, so did Pete Townshend with The Who, Jeff Beck, Iggy And The Stooges, Genesis and many more. The Marshall Supa Fuzz page on Facebook has some great info and amazing photos/scans (see the photo of Jimi Hendrix’s ‘loan on approval’ receipt opposite – not part of this sale!)
